Street photography was my first love. Before I found myself making a career out of photography, I used to just run around shooting street photography.
That was 15 years ago, and I still shoot street when I get a chance. It was not Vogue fashion photography that got me into this profession, nor was it Rolling Stone concert shots, nor National Geographic travel photography. It is street photos that so dramatically yet clearly depict everyday life.
As a professional photographer for 10 years now, I still find myself tapping into the things I learned in my experiences shooting photos in the streets. It undoubtedly shaped how I approach my professional work today from dealing with subjects to scouting locations, framing images, to awareness of available light.
I’m a big believer that pictures speak louder than words, so here are some street photos I gathered from my archive.
